There are plenty of beautiful places to stay, but The Guilford Cottage was designed to be something more.
For years, I’ve shared our home projects, favorite finds, and the spaces we’ve created through The Nottinghome. Along the way, I’ve discovered brands, products, artists, and makers that I genuinely love—not because they were trendy, but because they helped create a home that felt warm, timeless, and lived in.
The Guilford Cottage became an opportunity to bring all of those favorite pieces together under one roof.
From the very beginning, the vision wasn’t simply to create a short-term rental. It was to create an experience. A place where guests could not only stay in a beautifully designed home but also discover the products, furnishings, artwork, bedding, lighting, and décor that make it feel special.
That’s where our “Shop & Stay” concept was born.
Nearly 90% of the cottage is completely shoppable. Every room has been thoughtfully curated with pieces that I’ve fallen in love with over years of designing, decorating, and sharing our homes through The Nottinghome. If something catches your eye during your stay, chances are you’ll be able to find it in our custom Playbook and learn more about the brand behind it.
The goal is simple: to allow guests to experience products in real life, see how they function in a home, and hopefully leave inspired to create spaces they love just as much.
Design-wise, The Guilford Cottage is rooted in everything I love most—timeless cottage style, layered textures, collected pieces, cozy spaces, and thoughtful details that make a house feel like home. Every decision was made with intention, from the artwork on the walls to the bedding in the bedrooms and the furniture throughout the home.
After months of planning, renovating, sourcing, and bringing this vision to life, we’re finally approaching the finish line.
Fingers crossed, The Guilford Cottage will be ready for bookings in less than a week.
We still have a few finishing touches to complete, but seeing this dream come together has been incredibly rewarding. What started as an idea has become a home that we can’t wait to share with guests from all over the country.
