Hi, I’m Allie

The Nottinghome is a lifestyle and home design brand rooted in family, creativity, and a love for spaces that feel timeless yet lived-in.

What started as our very first renovation—a small Chicago condo—grew into a passion for reimagining homes, and ultimately into a brand. Over the years, we’ve designed, renovated, and styled multiple homes and even commercial spaces across the Midwest and the South. Today, I share home décor, renovation projects, budget-friendly finds, kids’ spaces, seasonal styling, and the textures and details that bring character into everyday living.

Get to Know Me

Where are you from and where do you live now?
I’m originally from Crown Point, Indiana, where I met my husband—we’ve been together since high school. We started our journey renovating a small condo in Chicago, then moved to Michigan where we renovated multiple homes and even a few commercial spaces. Today, we call Bluffton, South Carolina, home—bringing together our love for northern charm and coastal living.
The real beginning was our first house—an 1890s farmhouse that we had to completely gut. It was a huge challenge physically, mentally, and financially, but it’s also where The Nottinghome was born. That project pushed me out of my comfort zone and taught me so much about design, renovation, and resilience. It’s where I truly began to find my voice and style in creating spaces that feel both beautiful and livable.
I’d describe my style as rustic yet elegant—minimal and clean-lined, but always layered with warmth. I’m drawn to muted neutrals, natural textures, and timeless pieces that feel refined while still inviting and livable.
Family, faith, and intention. Every design decision—big or small—is rooted in creating a home that feels welcoming, functional, and full of heart.
Inspiration comes from everywhere—travel, historic architecture, textures in nature, and everyday life with my kids. And when I have a quiet moment (which is rare with three little ones), I find myself most inspired by spaces that tell a story and create a sense of connection.
